OceanWorks International's management and staff have a long history of involvement in the subsea industry dating back to the 1960’s. The following is a synopsis on the recent origins of the OceanWorks organization

1986

International Hardsuits (North Vancouver, BC, Canada) formed as a subsidiary of Can-Dive Services Ltd., a   pioneer in the development of Atmospheric Diving Systems (ADS).

1992

Hard Suits Inc. (renamed) announced as a publically traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

1996

Hard Suits Inc. acquired by American Oilfield Divers (AOD), a mid-sized publicly traded diving company headquartered in Houston, Texas.

1998

New senior management installed at Hard Suits by AOD and AOD acquired by Stolt Offshore S.A. (UK based).

2001

Management buy-out of Hard Suits Inc. completed by OceanWorks International Inc. headquartered in Houston, Texas. OceanWorks International Corporation formed as the Canadian subsidiary.
